Editorial methodology
This page explains how Instant Calculator approaches calculator content, assumptions, and corrections. It is a process statement, not a claim that every route has completed the same review.
Calculation review
- Define the user inputs, units, valid ranges, and intended output before changing a formula.
- Test normal, boundary, empty, invalid, rounding, and—in applicable tools—date or overnight cases.
- Compare examples with an independent calculation and keep the assumptions visible on the page.
- Recheck a page when its formula, data source, jurisdiction, or user-facing claim changes.
Time-sensitive and high-stakes topics
Tax, payroll, investment, lending, health, and other regulated or consequential topics require current primary sources and explicit limits. The site does not treat a generic formula as a substitute for a current law, employer policy, medical assessment, or professional advice. A page may remain usable while being marked out of search until its sources and tests are up to date.
Corrections and updates
The editorial team records material changes through the site code and page maintenance notes. If a result or explanation is wrong, email a URL and a reproducible input example to support@instantcalculator.net. We use reports to prioritize verification and publish a correction when the issue is confirmed.
